Rhythm/ˈriT͟Həm/

A rhythm is a strong, regular, repeated pattern of a movement or a sound. There are countless combinations of rhythms created by a variety of notes and patterns. Rhythms are influenced by geography and different cultures all over the world. 

As we begin learning about rhythms in our class, we will focus primarily on: whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, and sixteenth notes.  ​One thing to remember is that all notes stem from the whole note.
